*Inca Trail Rules information: please keep in mind that the access to the Inca trail is controlled by SERNANP (Machu Picchu Authority) which has stablished a maximum number of people allowed on the trail per day. Inca trail permits are granted on a first come first served basis so your Inca trail permit will be confirmed only after your passport information and deposit are provided. The Inca trail permits are limited to 500 per day (trek permits are also required for the porters and cooks) so it is very important that we receive your Inca Trail reservations as far ahead as possible.

Itinerary
Day 1: Private Inca trail hike to Machu Picchu.
Am. Transfer from your hotel to Ollantaytambo train station, train ride till 104 Km. Here starts our hike to the hidden city of Machu Picchu, we will have a four-hour walk to Wiñaywayna (Forever Young), the largest and most amazing site of the Inca Trail. In the afternoon, we follow the last part of the trail crossing the stone threshold of Intipunku (Sun Gate at 8,957 ft/2,730 m) and have the most amazing picture of Machu Picchu; we arrive in the Lost City in the afternoon, then bus down to Aguas Calientes.
Evening: Overnight in a 3 star hostel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 2: Guided tour of Machu Picchu.
Early morning: short bus journey to Machu Picchu. In many ways today is the climax to your holiday. You will have a guided tour of the most amazing & mysterious of all Inca Sites. You will learn about the history of this site, who lived there, how it was discovered in modern times and why the Spaniards never found it. You will have some insight into the various features of the city and after that you will have some free time to really enjoy yourself alone in this spectacularly located site. This is an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever.
Train journey back to Cusco (11,150 ft).
Afternoon: Train journey back to Cusco.
On arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to your Hotel.
